To the Honorable Land Commissioners of the Hawaiian Islands, Greetings: I hereby tell you of my land and house claim. This is at Kahehuna, Honolulu, Island of Oahu and it is bounded on the north by a poalima, on the east by the land of Keoki, on the south by the land of Keahi, on the west by the land of Nika. My second claim is bounded on the north by the land of Auwaiolimu, on the east by the land of Nika, on the south by a po`alima, on the west by the land of Kahukikolo. My third claim is bounded on the north by the land of Nika, on the east by the land of Keahi, on the south by the land of Nahonoaina, and the land of Keahi, on the west by the land of Kahukikolo. My houses are bounded on the north by the land of Kekino, on the east by a road and the pali, on the ....

There is no fence for this place. These are two patches, but there has been objections for Kekino's house lot."
Kahukikolo, sworn and stated, "I have seen this property exactly as Maakuia has just stated here. Keo's land and house site have been from Keawe during Kaumauma's governorship and at the death of Nahienaena this land was possessed by Keo. No one had objected (then) but today Kekino objects to the house lot for he has patches there and the houses which are standing on this place are ours.
