Greetings to the Land Commissioners: I hereby tell you of my house lot claim at Koiuiu in Honolulu. It is just mauka of the lot of Kaaiawaawa and the mauka side adjoins the place of Kuinui. This was my wahine's place when Kamehameha I was living - it was at that time that she and her makuas began living at this place. We have held this place peacefully, with no objections. We have three patches here at Koiuiu and also some kula which we have held peacefully under the konohiki.

Haikanai, sworn, I know this place. It is a house lot and a strip of land in another place.

Mauka by Kuinui's yard
Waititi by the pali
Makai by land of Kulaauka
Ewa by Kuluwahi's.
The place is in Honolulu aina. Claimant got it from his wife, when he married in 1839 - her name i ....

This is a pasture land for Kamae from Kaaiawaawa just as the three patches had been from him. Kamae has one house there.
Umi, sworn and stated, "I have seen these places of Kamae and everything is just as Haikanai has related here."

Kaaiawaawa, sworn and stated, "I have seen Kamai's place for which he has complained to you. The house lot which had been mentioned by the first witnesses has no enclosure. That is my property.
And the one patch mentioned as belonging to Kamae is mine; it is a Friday (patch). However, he (Kamae) does have for himself two patches and one pasture.
