To the Honorable Land Commissioners, Greetings: To you, the persons profoundly versed in the law enabling you to award or deny the claims presented to you in these Hawaiian Islands: I hereby tell of my claims in Puunui.
My house lot; I made the fence completely and built a house and also planted in this house lot. All these improvements exist at this time. No one has objected.
2. A genuine land claim which I present to you consists of three patches and some kula. I have completed the fencing on some sides, only a portion remains to be done. There have been no objections to these two places, the house lot and the land with the patches, but some of the things which I planted i ....

Puhau's land, Waikiki.
These are three patches and one pasture.
When the fort was being built, Kaha received one patch at that time from Kao-
Pae and in the year 1840 Kaha again received two patches and one pasture from
Puhau. This place has no fence and there is no house there. Puhau's land had
been from Kekuanaoa and no one has objected to this land; however, the pandanus
tree has had objections although this tree is in the center of Kaha's land."
Kaopae, sworn and said, "I have seen this place of Kaha and it is like all
of the things Kahawaii has related here about."
