To the Honorable Land Commissioners, of the Hawaiian Islands, Greetings: I hereby tell you of my land claim which is at Pouhala in Waikele, Ewa, Island of Oahu, and is bounded on the north by the moo aina of Laukua, on the east by the mo`o `aina of Naili, on the south by a patch of bulrushes /lo`i aka`akai/, on the west by Ulu's house and a land fence. Another of my claims is at Papaa, one patch and a house,

Pouhala's land toward the sea.
Kapepee, who is my husband, had received this land a long time ago in the year 1826 from Luluhiwalani. He has lived in peace on this property a long time ago to the present time."
Luluhiwalani, sworn and stated, "I have seen this property. Everything is just as Kalola has related here, with the exception that the section on the Waianae side of the taro land is for me and I am claiming for that interest."
