To the Honorable Land Commissioners of the Hawaiian Islands, Greetings: hereby tell you of my land and house claim. This land is at Kamilolo in Honouliuli, Ewa, Island of Oahu. It is bounded on the north by the stream of Makaii, on the east by the land of Kalanihopu, on the South by the land of Kanahuna, on the west by the land of Kaulu. The second of my claims is bounded on the north by the land of Kahulu, on the east by the land of Kanahuna, on the south by the land of Aemaikai, on the west by the land of Kahikula. The third of my claims is at Poohilo in Honouliuli and is bounded on the north by the land of Oni, on the east by the Pond of Kahui, on the south by the land of Kuailau, on the west by the land of Opiopio. The fourth of my claims is at Poohilo and is bounded on the north by the land of Kekuahilo, on the east by the land of Kahakai, on the south by the land of Kahakai and the land of Kapule, on the west by the land of Kahalana and of Kahakai. The fifth of my claims is bounded on the north by the land of Kuailau, on the east by the Pal ....

6. The boundaries of the pasture are:
Oni's land, toward the mountain
plain land, Ewa
Puniwai's land, toward the sea
Oni's land again, Waianae.
There is no fence there, nor is there a house.
Kaaiawaawa's parents had lived on this property during Kamehameha I's reign and they had given this land to Kaaiawaawa; nevertheless, Kalaihopu is the konohiki for all of Kaaiawaawa's patches and the pasture had been from Kanakahilau in the year 1844. No one has ever objected and Kaaiawaawa has been living there to this day.
Oni, sworn and stated, "I have seen these places exactly as Aoao has just related to you."
