Greetings to the Land Commissioners: I hereby tell you of my claim for house lot at Kaliu in Honolulu. It is bounded on the north by Aala, on the east by the lot of Palila, on the south by a small ponds on the west by a road.

I got this place after the death of Kinau, and I made the fence and one house there.

I have been situated there peacefully with no objections. I also have five taro patches at Kaliu. There are two patches together on the makai side of the patches of Kawakui /sic/, and two patches together on the mauka side of Kawahakui. One patch is in my mo`o aina, Paele. I have held these patches peacefully, under the konohiki.

These are two patches and were all received with the house lot. When Kaniua died, his wife became heir and no one has ever objected to her to this day.

Huakiki, sworn and said, "I have seen this property of Ihuula from the house- site to the taro land just as Wahine has related everything about it before you here."
