To the Honorable Land Commissioners of the Hawaiian Islands, Greetings; I hereby tell you of my land and house claim at Poohilo, Honouliuli, Ewa, Island of Oahu. It is bounded on the north by the land of Manaole and the land of Kanehekili, on the south by the land of Kapule, on the west by the Pond of Aimea and the land of Kekuahilo. These are two patches with Kaekuna's two houses and one lot has been enclosed. Kaekuna's interest had been from Kapole in the year 1834 and he is residing there in peace."
Kauakahilau, sworn and stated, "I have seen Kaekuna's property and everything is just as Kawahaea has related here."
