To the Honorable Land Commissioners of the Hawaiian Islands, Greetings: I hereby tell you my claim for land and house at Poohilo, Honouliuli.
It is bounded:
on the north by the houses of Kauakahilau
on the east by the land of Kaiwinui
on the south by the houses of Oni
on the west by the pall of Makakua.

Kahakai had given this interest to Kawahea and he has one house there, but Kawahea lived under Kainaina for he (Kainaina) had been the first konohiki and later Kahakai had followed him probably in-the year 1834. He has lived in peace since that time to this day."
