To the Land Commissioners, greetings: We, the children of Lihilahi, hereby tell of our lot.
Our makuakane, John C. Jones, gave this place to Lahilahi.
When Lahilahi died, this place was left to us, and we have held it peacefully, with no objections.
The diagram and the boundaries of this lot are sent herewith. Ranai* is a witness who knows of this place.
I am, with aloha, your obedient servant.

Lanai, sworn and stated, "I have seen this place in Honolulu here. The boundaries are:
John Meek Jr.'s place, mountainside
Manini's heirs place, Ewa
I have not known who owns the place toward the sea
Kalama's place and the place whereon the French people are living are on the Waikiki side.
Some parts of this property have not been enclosed and there are houses on some parts and none on other parts of the land. I have not known that anyone has ever objected to this day.
At the time Manini's property had a general survey, I think it was correct that this place was being included in Manini's place.
