Claim No. 807, Andrew Auld, Honolulu, October 19, 1847
F.R. 110v2
To the Board of Commissioners &c, &c,
Gentlemen, I desire to make known to your honorable board that I hold an allotment in the town of Honolulu, Island of Oahu, well known as my place of residence during the past twenty years. The above land is situated opposite to the British Consulate; and was formerly a portion of the Berekani premises. It was given to me by Captain Charlton from whom I hold a paper to that effect; and may witnesses may be brought forward, should it be deemed necessary, to testify to my long residence on the spot.
I submit the above statement for investigation, desiring to be informed when my attendance shall be required.
Signed, Andrew Auld

.... bly in the year 1827 and later he built his house and is living there now. No one had objected at the time Charlton's property was put up for auction by Thompson. When Charlton came and said this property is for him, then this sale is proper. He arrived here in the year 1844."
Thompson, sworn and stated, "I was the Policeman at the sale of this property. That was probably in the year 1833. That property was sold at an auction and Dominis had bought that place, but if Charlton should say he (Dominis) has not entered his place, then it is still for Auld. However there is extension then it is gone. When Charlton returned, I did not hear his statement concerning that property."
