In the Matter of the boundaries of Laie wai & Laie maloo
Application
To Lawrence McCully, Esquire, Commissioner of Boundaries for the First Judicial District, to wit, the Island of Oahu, Hawaiian Islands.
The petition of Frederick A. Mitchell, one third owner in the Ahupuaas of Laie Wai & Laiemaloo, of the District of Koolauloa, Island of Oahu, Hawaiian island, respectfully represents as follows:
That the said petitioner in connection with George Nebeker, are the present owners of the aforesaid Ahupuaas, the following being the discussion of the ownership, i.e. Award No. 8559 [8559B] made to W.C. Lunalilo, who sold and transferred the same to Captain Howland, who in turn sold to Mr. Dougherty, who sold to F.A. Hammond and Mr. Nebeker, the latter afterward purchasing F.A. Hammond's interest and selling to the said petitioner the aforesaid one third, all of which said transfers are duly recorded in the Registrar's office at Honolulu, Oahu.
The said lands of Laie wai & Laie maloo are in the district and Island aforesaid, and bounded by Kaipapau on the south and Malakahana [Malaekahana] on the North, and that the present owners of the former named land of Kaipapau are Keaunui, Ioane Pahaa, Makanui, Wahinemaikai and that the owner of Malakahana is Honorable H.A. Widemann.
And that the said petitioner for his and the said George Nebeku's benefit respectfully prays that the boundaries to the said Ahupuaas be properly established by Your Honor, the Commissioner of Boundaries, and that the certificate as required by law may issue to your petitioner certifying etc. the boundaries of said lands, and that a day and hour may be appointed by your honor the Commissioner for the hearing of the application and that all parties interested may have notice.

Upon application to H.A. Widdemann [sic], he attests to that part of the above petition referring to his lands, and produces Royal Patent No. 5616 based on Kuleana Helu 8452 part 1 to A. Keohokalole, in which the boundary of the Ahupuaa.
