To: R.F. Bickerton, Esquire, Commissioner of Boundaries for the Island of Oahu
Sir:
The undersigned executors of the Estate of Mrs. B. Pauahi Bishop respectfully represent that the Ili Kauluwela in Honolulu, Kona, Oahu belonging to the said Estate was awarded to V. Kamamalu in Land Commission Award 7713, Apana 49 by name without survey and that the boundaries of same have never been settled.
That the Ili of Kauluwela including the Kawa fish pond is bounded by the land of Kuwili, Puunui and Kanawai, belonging to the Government by Grant 1870 and 1303 to W.L. Lee in Kaliu, belonging respectfully [respectively] to Mrs. C.N. Zumano[?] and the Board of Education by Grant 180 to Kekuapanio in Kukanaka; by Land Commission Award 6256 to Kalaeokekai in Kamakela; by the land of Nini, Land Commission Award 6239 to Kaliamoku, belonging to S.M. Damon, Esquire and by various other Land Commission Awards as shown in the accompanying map.
Your petitioners claim that the survey herewith enclosed is a correct description of the Ili of Kauluwela by metes and bounds, and also that a day and an hour be appointed for hearing the case, that all parties [page 129] interested may have due notice, and that the certificate of boundaries, as by law provided, be issued to your petitioners.

Application having been made to the undersigned by Charles R. Bishop and S.M. Damon, executors of the will of Mrs. B. Pauahi Bishop, deceased, for the settlement of the boundaries of the Ili of Kauluwela including the Kawa fish pond situated in Honolulu, Kona, Island of Oahu, being Land Commission Award 7713, Apana 49 to V. Kamamalu.
Notice is hereby given to all adjoining owners and to all parties interested in the settlement of said boundaries that the said matter will come up for hearing at my office on Merchant Street, Honolulu, on Wednesday, April 15, 1885 at 1 o'clock p.m.
