In the matter of the settlement of the boundaries of Kaea, a Lele of Kapahulu, Kona, Oahu
To: Richard F. Bickerton, Esquire, Boundary Commissioner of the Island of Oahu
S.B. Dole, one of the Trustees of the Estate of Lunalilo, shows the Ili aina of Kapahulu in Kona, of the Island of Oahu, was awarded to Lunalilo in his lifetime by name, the Land Commission Award 8559B, apana 32; that the main portion of the said land has been settled as to its boundaries by Kamakau, late Boundary Commissioner for the Island of Oahu, that there is a lele of the said land, situate in Palolo, in the Island of Oahu known as Kaea, the boundaries of which have not been decided; that the said lele of Kaea is surrounded by ....

Commencing at the makai corner of this land at a stone marker thus [X with arrow points on 2 top shafts] under Hala Tree at stream and road and running:
1. North 15° 59' West true 338 feet along Kekio to a large stone in stream marked with a cross (near ford), thence
2. North 28° 23' East true 1861 feet along Kekio across valley and up ridge;
3. North 28° 32' East true 2156 feet along Kekio up ridge;
4. North 48° 25' East true 875 feet along Kekio up ridge to junction in same;
5. South 15° 11' East true 1002 feet along Kekio down ridge of Kaau crater; Thence
6. South 23° 5' West true 2630 feet along Kekio down ridge from crater. Thence
7. South 41° 18' West true 1113 feet along Kekio down ridge;
8. South 78° 12' West true 997 feet along Kekio down into valley to initial point.
