O Anakalea ko`u inoa, ua ike au i na palena o Waihee ma Kahakuloa. A Mokuhulu ka palena makai e kaawale ai o Waihee me Kahakuloa. holo mai a ke alanui Aupuni o Kaaleo ia wahi he Kalanakauhale ia mamua, mai laila aku a hiki i Kanoa (o kahi ia i mama Awa ai o Kama me Kanaloa) mai laila aku a ka pali, paa aku ka pohaku no Kahakuloa, a kaa ka pohaku no Waiehu. holo aku a hiki ilalo o Nanilili (he puukaua ia) holo aku ma ia pali a Naolonawehe, holo aku no a ka puu o Kapahu, holo aku a Maninole, alaila pau mai o Kahakuloa. Mai laila aku komohana mai o Honokahau, holo aku no a Keole komo mai o Honokowai ma kela aoao mai. A pili mai o Honokahau ma kela aoao mai me “Eke”, pili mai o Kahakuloa me Kapahu. The Note[s] of survey are as follows: from the point on top of the cliff from which a red point on rocks bears North 12° 19' West centre of island North 60° 1' East, south edge of island; North 70° 21' East and North edge of Island North 36° East. Thence South 60° 1' West 2497 links to a tall stone set in the ground a little makai of the Government road and marked [up arrow] and from whence the Commencement of the Southern boundary bears South 43° 14' East) South 49° 47' West 2395 links South 62° 52' West 1950 links from whence the following places bears [sic] Conical hill South 19° 4' East whence following plantation Chimney South 42° 52' East whence following Pohakuwahaha South 34° 3' East; South 70° 07' West 2367 links; South 63° 6' West 1193 links along table land to the top of Pali; North 78° 44' West 650 links along face of Pali to pile of rocks. all the Station[s] as far as here on this boundary are marked by stoned, marked thus [up arrow]. Thence South 61° 33' West 8,000 links along the face of pali to the top of a small conical hill on the East side of Ulupueo Stream to top of small conical hill, thence South 61° 51' West 3975 links up ridge to the top of the mountain range. Thence the boundary follows along the water shed of the ridge dividing the Waihee [land] from the land of Kahakuloa to the top of the old crater "Eke." Area of this land 4,674 acres. The Area of this land is computed from withing [sic] the lines of Possitive [sic] surveys James Gay (Surveyor) December 1875
It is therefore adjudged, and I do hereby decide and certify that the boundaries of the said land are and hereafter shall be as hereinbefore set forth. Dated at Lahaina this 16 day of March, A.D. (1877) 1880 L. Aholo, Commissioner of Boundaries, 2nd Judicial Circuit
