In the Matter of the Application of the Wailuku Sugar Company for a Certificate of Boundaries, for a Portion of the Ahupuaa of Waiehu and the Ilis of Ahikuli and Pohakunui, of said Ahupuaa of Waiehu, located in the District of Wailuku, Island of Maui.

Under date of June 30th, 1925, the Wailuku Sugar Company, a Hawaiian Corporation, filed its Petition alleging that it was the owner of this Portion of the Ahupuaa of Waiehu, and the Ilis of Ahikuli and Pohakunui of said Ahupuaa of Waiehu, in the District of Wailuku, Island of Maui, Territory of Hawaii, and, on, behalf of itself, applied for a decision and certificate of boundaries of said portion of the Ahupuaa of Waiehu and the Ilis of Ahikuli and Pohakunui, according to the provision of Chapter 42 of the Revised Laws of Hawaii, 1925.
In this application the Petitioner states that the Ahupuaa of Waiehu, and the Ilis of Ahikuli and Pohakunui of said Ahupuaa, District of Wailuku aforesaid, were awarded by name only, to William C. Lunalilo, by Land Commission Award 8559B, Apanas 20 and 21.

The applicant, in its petition, stating that the following in a description, by true azimuths, of the outside boundaries of said portion of the Ahupuaa of Waiehu and the Ilis of Ahikuli and Pohakunui;
That the lands, and owners of sent, adjoining the said portion of the Ahupuaa of Waiehu and Ilis of Ahikuli and Pohakunui, are:
On the North side: Hananui and a portion of Polipoli, owned by Wailuku Sugar Company; Portion of Polipoli
owned by the Territory of Hawaii.
On the South side: Portion of Wailuku owned by the Wailuku Sugar Company;
On the West side: Waihee owned by Wailuku Sugar Company.
That no inquiry or determination as to the boundaries of kuleanas, etc., located within, or partly within, this portion of the Ahupuaa of Waiehu and Ilis of Ahikuli and Pohakunui, is sought by this Petition.
A map was also attached to and submitted with the application, showing the location, natural topographical features, prominent and other marks along boundary lines, and more particularly described as follows:
Description of a Portion of the Ahupuaa of Waiehu, Including the ilis of Ahikuli and Pohakunui, also included within this outside boundary description are the ilis of Halelena and Kapoino located on the Island of Maui.

Beginning at a stone marked [right arrow], at the seashore, adjoining the Ahupuaa of Wailuku, the coordinates of which said point of beginning referred to Luke Trig. Station, of the U. S. Coast and Geodetic Survey, are 11878.70 feet north and 2021.15 feet east, and running by true azimuths:
1. 65° 45' 1083.7 feet, along Wailuku, to a stone marked [right arrow];
2. 57° 52' 1589.3 feet along Wailuku, to a stone marked [right arrow]; on sand hills;
3. 113° 54' 1607.8 feet along Wailuku, crossing Government Road to tall stone marked [right arrow];
4. 73° 00' 674.0 8 feet along Wailuku;

bank of Waihee Ditch, referred to Luke Trig. Station are 11530.95 feet north and 7045.45 feet most;

Description of the Ili of Kuunahawelu, Lele of the Ili of Ahikuli
Beginning at the south corner of this Ili, on the boundary of Waihee, the coordinates of which point referred to Luke Trig. Station, of the U. S. Coast and Geodetic Survey, are 16,932.20 feet North and 3331.50 feet West, also said point in azimuth and distance 153° 08' 77.1 feet, from a one, inch pipe in concrete monument, marking the end of the sixth course, as described in the Waihee Certificate of Boundaries and running by true azimuths:
1. 153° 08' 217.3 feet, along Waihee;
2. 164° 07' 708.8 feet, along Waihee;
3. 253° 23' 745.8 feet, along Waihee;
4. 300° 14' 301.0 feet, along Kou;
5. 329° 25' 383.0 feet along Kou;
55°18' 1067.2 feet, along Kou, to the point of beginning.
Containing an area of 16.90 Acres.
