Before The Commissioner of Boundaries in and for The Second Judicial Circuit, Territory of Hawaii.
In the Matter of the Application of the Wailuku Sugar Company and Hawaiian Commercial & Sugar Company for a Certificate of Boundaries, for the Ili of Kalua, located in the District of Wailuku, Island of Maui.

Under date of February 4th , 1926, the Wailuku Sugar Company, an Hawaiian Corporation, and the Hawaiian Commercial and Sugar Company, a California Corporation, filed their Petition alleging that they are the owners of the Ili of Kalua, in the District of Wailuku, Island of Maui, Territory of Hawaii, and applied, on behalf of said Wailuku Sugar company and Hawaiian Commercial and Sugar company, for a decision and certificate of boundaries of said Ili of Kalua, according to the provision of Chapter 42 of the Revised Laws of Hawaii, 1925.
Applicants further allege that this Ili of Kalua, in said District of Wailuku, aforesaid, was awarded, by name only to V. Kamamalu by Land Commission Award 7713, Apana 23, on which Royal Patent 4475 was issued, describing said Ili by name only.
That the following is a description by true azimuths of the outside boundaries of said Ili of Kalua; that the lands [page 79]and owners of same, adjoining the said Ili of Kalua, are:
On the south side A portion of Wailuku, owned by Hawaiian Commercial & Sugar Company in part, and by Wailuku Sugar Company, in part, petitioners herein.
On the north side: Ili of Owa, in Wailuku, owned by Hawaiian Commercial & Sugar Company, in part, and by Wailuku Sugar Company, in part, petitioners herein.
On the west side: Portion of Wailuku, owned by Wailuku Sugar Company.
On the east side: Portion of Wailuku and the sea, owned by Hawaiian Commercial & Sugar Company, in part, and, in part, bordering the shores of Kahului Bay.
That no inquiry or determination as to the boundaries of kuleanas, ate., located within, or partly within, this ili of Kalua, s sought by this petition.
A map was also attached to and submitted with the application, showing the location, natural topographical features, prominent and other marks along boundary lines, and more particularly described as follows:

.... ved and heard all testimony offered in reference to. the said boundaries, and no person having appeared in objection thereto, and having endeavored otherwise to obtain all information possible to enable me to arrive at a just decision, which will more fully appear by reference to the records of this matter by me kept In a book entitled 'Records of Daniel H. Case , Commissioner of Boundaries in and for the Second Judicial Circuit, Territory of Hawaii, on pages 78 to 86 [page 86] inclusive; and it appearing to my satisfaction that the true, lawful and equitable boundaries are as hereinafter set forth:
It in now by me, as such Commissioner of Boundaries for the Second Judicial Circuit of the Territory of Hawaii, hereby decided that the true, lawful and equitable boundaries of said Ili of Kalua, in the Ahupuaa of Wailuku, Island of Maui, Territory of Hawaii, are as follows:
Beginning at the northeast corner of L. C. A. 396 to Keomailani, at corner of fence, the coordinates of which point referred to Luke Trig. Station, of the U. S. Coast and Geodetic Survey, are 1758.15 feet North and 2483.40 feet West, and running by true azimuths:
1. 354° 40' 295.0 feet, along Land Commission Award 396, Keomailani, and Wailuku, to Auwai of Kalua;
2. Thence along the Auwai of Kaluai to the southwest corner of Land Commission Award 8076, Hiolo, adjoining Land Commission Award 3338 Namailou; direct azimuth and distance being 334° 08' 1950.4 feet;
3. 269° 14' 640.2 feet, along Land Commission Award 3338, Namailou, to point on mauka side of Sand Hill Road;
4. 253° 20' 987.0 feet, Along Wailuku, crossing Sand Hill Road, to the west top of the Luke Trig. Station, sand hill, said point being azimuth and distance 273° 06' 19.2 feet, from Luke Trig. Station;sand hills;
5 248° 03' 11,010.0 feet, along Wailuku, across sand hills;
6: 158° 39' 751.0 feet, along Wailuku, to the sea;
7. Thence along the sea, the direct azimuth and distance being 58° 55' 1908 feet;
8. Thence along the sea to point near the lower side of Road, the direct azimuth and distance being 117° 36' 1386.0 ft.;
9. 67° 28' 7,545.0 feet, along Owa, across sand hills, to top of large sand hill overlooking Wailuku;
10. 91° 56, 700.0 feet, along Owa;
11. 86° 02' 180.0 feet along Owa, crossing sand hill road;
12. 95° 35' 1,700.0 feet along Owa, to the point of beginning.
Containing an area of 395.2 acres.
