To the Land Commissioners, Greetings: I hereby tell you of my claim for my house lot at Kauluwela, in Honolulu. It is bounded on the north by the lot of Male, on the east by a taro patch, on the south by a pali, on the west by kula.

When the sandalwood was being cut at Waoala I settled at this place and built my two houses and completely fenced the lot.

No one has objected until this time. I have six taro patches and two irrigation ditches at Kauluwela. They are bounded on the north by the land of Kamanuwai, on the east by the patch of Palile, on the south by the irrigation ditch, on the west by the land of Kaiew ....

Kamaikahulipu, sworn and stated, "My testimony is similar to all of Palila's statements which have just been read to us concerning Naihe's land.

The boundaries of the remaining patch are:
Kaiewe's land, Waikiki;
that land of Naihe, mountainside
the land Kamanuwai, Ewa and
Kaiewe's land again, oceanside."
