Proper application having been made to me September 8, 1913 by the Pioneer Mill Co., Ltd. Of Lahaina, Maui for the settlement of the boundaries of the land of Kapunakea, Lahaina, Maui as follows:

Dear Sir,
We hereby make an application for the settlement of the boundaries of the Ahupuaa of Kapunakea, Land Commission Award 11216 to Kekauonohi
The Pioneer Mill Co., Ltd. Claims the Ahupuaa of Kapunakea by virtue of a deed from the Haalelea Estate to Henry Gordon, November 19th 1866, recorded in Book 23, page 84.
No survey is contained in deed of Haalelea Estate to Henry Gordon or of H. Gordon to Campbell and Turten and nothing but investigation and evidence on the ground could settle these uncertain points.
We would asks you to kindly give this matter your immediate attention and notify us in advance of your coming to Lahaina.

Proper application having been made to me by the Pioneer Mill Company, Limited, for the settlement of the boundaries of the Ahupuaa of Kapunakea, Lahaina, Maui, notice is hereby given to all owners of adjoining lands and all persons interested in said boundaries that there will be a hearing for the settlement of the said boundaries of said land at the Court House at Lahaina, Maui on Thursday, October 9th, 1913, at 9 o'clock a.m.

The above description was filed October 9th 1913.
Mr. L. Weinzheimer asked the Commissioner to visit the land of Kapunakea.
The Court then adjourned to visit the land.
The Commissioner of Boundaries in company with Mr. L. Weinzheimer, representing the Pioneer Mill Co. Ltd. C.A. Brown, representing the interest of the John Ii Estate, also kamaaina H. Kamaunu and the surveyor, H. Young were in the party.

We visited the land of Kapunakea and the kamaaina H. Kamaunu and Surveyor H. Young showed the various points refered [sic] to by them in court.
The court then adjourned.
Honolulu, October 13, 1913
After hearing the foregoing evidence and having also visited the land in person with the kamaaina and surveyor and being perfectly satisfied by the evidence &c &c. brought before me, also my personal knowledge of Lahaina, Maui.
I therefore adjudge the foregoing metes and bounds in the description made by Huffman Young, surveyor to be the true and lawful boundaries of the Ahupuaa of Kapunakea, Lahaina, Island of Maui.
