Honorable Duncan McBryde, Commissioner of Boundaries, Island of Kauai
Sir: I am instructed by the commissioners of Crownd [sic] Lands, to make application to you to define and settle the boundaries of the following lands: Waimea, Hanapepe, Anahola, Hanalei. I am sir, your obedient servant Jno O. Dominis, Crown Commissioner and Land Agent
Thereupon appointed the 26th day of May A.D. 1874 for the hearing of said petition and caused the owners of the adjoining lands to be notified of the time and place of hearing.
Kaunahi, sworn, Know boundary commences at a point of stones at the beach where there was formerly a place of worship and called, Kuaehu Thence mauka to place of rest on plains, Ahakolekole thence to ridge, Akole Thence to point of hill, Kikoo Thence to point on hill one side Aliomanu, Kaiiwiaumakua Thence to hill one side papa other Anahola, Pueu Thence to hill on ridge one side Koolau other Anahola, Pukeakea Thence Boundary goes over thru hills, Malamalamaiki Thence to large rise & flat stones, Kalahewai, Kolomuku Thence joins with Kealia, Kamalamalo & Kalihiwai, Eliileloa in Kailianahaumu Thence down ridge to Kuakini Thence down ridge & plain to basin in stream Mamakaile; ? of which to Anahola and ? to Kamalamalo; [page 95] Follows on plain to road crosses this, thence to Pohopohoiki Follows down plain to a stone called Kanihu Follows down to the beach to a large pond or opening of salt water a point of land runs into this pond and this point is the boundary, Papaloa.
Pehuiki, sworn, This boundary commences on the sea shore where we used to sacrifice in olden times and is called Kuaehu Thence to a place in plain or resting place, Akole Thence a ridge on face of hill, Kahakolekole Thence follows up ridge to top of hill, Kikoo Thence to point on hill one side Aliomanu, Keaweaumakua Thence to hill one side Papaa, other Anahola, Pueu Thence up ridge, Pukeakea Thence a road comes up by Kealia goes to Kilauea, Keaoopu Thence high peak boundary runs over top, Malamalamaiki Thence boundary runs over ....

West 12600 to Puueu, the southwest corner of this land and Northwest corner of Kealia from Puuawa to Ouueu, the water shed of the ridge is the boundary of this land (see plan of Anahola).
When the lines on plan are only dotted thus [dash dot 4 x] . It signifies that the ridge of hills is the boundary but when drawn in full, the line is to be taken as the boundary.
The bearings herein recorded are on the true maridian [sic meridian] of Grove Farm, Nawiliwili.
