Greetings to the Land Commissioners: I hereby tell you of my house lot claim, here at Honolulu, on the north side of the Estuary. It is bounded on the north by a pond, on the east by the fence of the schoolhouse, on the south by the fence of Kalua, on the west, a road.

This interest began at the time of Kamehameha I. Laahiwa had this place then and in the time of Liholiho we returned from Waialua and he gave me this place and I have occupied it since then with no objections.

Kahawali, toward the mountain
Peahi, Ewa and Kuhimana, oceanside.

The taro land was received the same time as the house lot, but the taro land interest had been from Kaniku. No one has ever objected to Wahie until today."

Kanakahi, sworn and said, "I have seen Wahie's house lot and taro land. Everything about it is the same as Kuapuu has just related here."
