Kahua 2d, Hilo.

The Boundary Commission met at the Office of the Commissioner of Boundaries, in Hilo, Hawaii, at 9 a.m. December 10, 1903, according to Notices published in the Hilo Tribune and Ku Okoa, for a hearing November 7, and a continuance to November 14, and to December 10, 1903.

Notice of the application, and hearing, and continuances having been sent by mail, by the Commissioner of Boundaries to the owners, known of the adjoining Lands, namely: The Pepeekeo Sugar Company, for Makahanaloa.

There being present:: A.B. Loebenstein for the applicant; H. Ludloff, Administrator of the Estate of Kailihune, wahine; S. Kailimai, owner of a portion of R.P. 1158; J. Pelham.; Wm. Kailihune, owner of a portion of R.P. 1158, J. Pelham; S. Kailihune, owner of a portion of R.P. 1158, J. Pelham; Kailihune wahine, owner of the land.

Applicant asks to continue the hearing until December 28, as the Survey of land is not completed.
No objection being offered, the hearing is continued to December 28th.

Court opened in the Office of the Boundary Commissioner December 28, 1903, according to adjournment from December 10th, there being present: A.B. Loebenstein for the Applicant; Kailihune wahine; H. Deacon, Manager of Pepeekeo Sugar Company; S. Kailihune; William Kailihune; and others.

Representing the owners of the Ahupuaa of Kahua 2d, in the District of Hilo, Island of Hawaii, I have the honor to request you to set a day for the taking of testimony and the issuance of a Certificate of Boundaries for this land. In compliance with the statute, I have hereunto annexed a schedule of adjacent lands with their respective owners.

Testimony
A.B. Loebenstein, sworn, I am a Surveyor, and am authorized to make a Survey of Kahua 2d, in Hilo, Hawaii, situated in Hilo, Land Commission Award No. 5663, to Kahonu; bounded on the North by Patents from the Government; namely R.P. 1030, Kaina; R.P. 194 J. Ely; on the south by the Ahupuaa Makahanaloa, Boundary Certificate No. 36 and Grant 1158 to John Pelham, by sea on the east and present Government Road on the West. I have not been authorized to locate any portions of Kahua 2d that may be mauka of the Government Road.

I ran out the lines of this survey, completed on the grounds, having due regard to the Patents of adjacent lands, following the lines of the Patents and the natural monuments, making 52 acres; followed the lin ....

It is therefore adjudged, and I do hereby certify and decide that the boundaries of said portion of the land of Kahua 2d, are, and hereafter shall be as hereinbefore set forth.
