Office of the Board of Commissioners Who Quiet Land Titles, Kauwila House, May 12, 1846
The property of Kaeo was an issue in the summons for May 12 by the secretary and he (Kaeo) [No. 96?] with Kalakuaioha came (here). Their business here was not successful because their witnesses were in Hilo, therefore, the land title officers properly delegated Kaiana to assist in Hilo by taking note of the testimonies of the witnesses of Kaeo and Kalakuaioha, then delivering them (testimonies) to the office of the land title executives.
