Greetings to you, the Land Commissioners: Mr. Richards and Mr. John Ricord, John Ii and Z. Kaauwai;
Here is my letter telling you of my claim to my house lot in Honolulu.
This lot is at a place close to the lot of Phillips, the haole house plasterer, one side, also, adjoining the lot of Mr. Hart, the haole carpenter, just makai of the lot of Mr. Bell.
In witness of the truth of what I have told you, I am, with thanks,
your obedient servant.

I had heard I make her bequest before her death and three weeks later she died. When Kanae had gone to I, she had said, "I am bequesting my property to Pulehu, so you have heard; let there be no objection in the future." We had lived there together with Pulehu when I was alive, he is not living there now for six years or probably before that. This child is not for W. Dany, it is for Mikimiki. That is my feeling."
