Naleipuleho made oath that he wrote out this claim before the year 1848, and that it was given in to the Land Commissioners at Wailuku.
Kaianui, sworn, says the claimant's land consists of two pieces in Wailuku, Maui.

No. 2 is 6 lois in the ili of Kapaaloa.
The claimant received No. 1 from his mother Kumuokalani, in the days of Kamehameha II. No. ....

Kau, sworn, In the days of Kamehameha I Welaula came to "Paukukalo" which was then entirely unimproved and laid out and cultivated it. He laid out a number of Hakuone's of which this was one, and was cultivated as such till the time of Kamehameha II when claimant came to live there.
