No. 733, Kaluaohu, Honolulu, Oahu, September 29, 1847
N.R. 394v2

To the Land Commissioners, Greetings: I hereby tell you of my claim for house lot at Kaliu in Honolulu, on the north side of the Estuary.

The boundaries are: on the north, a pond; on the east, the land of Nakookoo; on the south a road; on the west, a road also.

This lot belonged to my kane, Kaleiahua, and when he died it was left to me, with no objections. Kaleikahua died at the time that Kinau was living.

The two houses in this lot are ours, and also, it was my kane who made the fence.
I am, with aloha,
KALUAOHU

.... ale between Kalua and Kuluwailehua, I had heard from Kuluwailehua thus: Kuluwailehua told me that Kalua had sold his place to him so he had planned to build a house there*; therefore, I asked Kalua, "Did you sell your place to Kuluwailehua?" Kalua answered, "Yes!" I believe Kalua has sold the property to Kuluwailehua, but Kanaina had given this property to Kuluwailehua and Kuluwai-lehua's old property has been possessed by Kanaina. I have not known the selling price of Kalua's property with Kuluwailehua and I believe the entire property has been acquired by Kuluwailehua."
