Greetings to the Land Commissioners: I hereby tell you of my claim for my house lot. It is in Honolulu, on the north side of the stream /estuary/.

The place which adjoins on the mauka side is for Ihuula
On the north, there is a small irrigation channel
On the west, Church Street
On the south, the estuary.

My kupunas lived in this same place in the time of Kamehameha I, and my own makuas continued to live there after their [kupunas] death. My own makuakane, Kalua, died, leaving the place to us, the keikis, and the wahine, and they conveyed to me the right to tell you of our claim.

This place has been peaceful since the time of the kupunas, no one has objected. T ....

.... roperty is the same as Wahine has just related here. I have also seen a taro land. It is in Kapalama on Oahu here. The boundaries are the same as noted in his claim. The fishpond is named Kuaikahala. This property was received by his father in the year 1834. Upon his death, it was bequested to Moanauli under Mose (Moses) Kekuaiwa, who was the konohiki. There is one patch and no one has ever objected to Moanauli (plural)."

Palila, sworn by the Word of God and stated, "I have seen this property. Everything is exactly the same as Wahine has stated here. I have not seen anyone objecting to them."
