Copy. Know all men by these presents, that I, Luther Wright, American citizen, resident at the Sandwich Islands, blacksmith, in consideration of the sum of eight hundred dollars to me paid by Eli Jones, an American citizen, and Alexander Muir, a citizen of Great Britain, carpenter, the receipt whereof I do hereby acknowledge, do hereby give grant, sell & convey unto the said Eli Jones & Alexander Muir, their heirs, and assigns, all that parcel of land or tenement situated in Honolulu, Island of Oahu, bounded and described as follows, to wit.
Commencing at the northeast corner of lands enclosed for the use and occupancy of the Roman Catholic Mission, and running northwest half west per Mariner's compass about one hundred and fifteen feet to land at present occupied by Thomas Crowell, thence northeast by north about seventy-six feet to the street running northwesterly towards estates of Madame Boki; thence southeast by east one quarter east about ninety-two feet along the said stre ....

.... ive, six, seven, perhaps, I don't remember, but he came to me for some chiefs of Kekuanaoa, Kinau, Auhea and some other people who I didn't know, about leasing property. I divided (the property) and when everything was done properly, I read (it) to the chiefs, but for other small matters, I do not know, I have forgotten.
William French, sworn for testimony, Kuakini gave that property to Capt. Hikale? Capt. Hikale began to work on the land where Janion is living now and because his means was meager, I gave him some so two people would be able on the property where E. Jones is residing now. One half of this estate became mine and finally when he was without funds the property became mine in its entirety. After this I sold to Kamaki the property where E. Jones is living now, also to Hunwai where Janion is living now. The governor was ill at the time of the transaction with Kamaki, so this was done before him (governor) personally.
