Oliver Namanu appeared & made oath that he wrote two copies of Naiwi's claim & that one copy was sent to Honolulu to the Land Commission in due time whereupon the same was admitted to a hearing.
Mareko, sworn, says I know the lands of Naiwi in Hanalei. They consist of two pieces.

Koolau by Namauu's land.
Land from Kalili to Naiui in 1840, because of his (Naiui's) status as land tenant. Naiui died in 1848, land bequested to his son as his heir.
Namauu, sworn, he has seen Naiui's land just as Mareko has related here.
