Greetings to you, Kaauwai and J. Ii and the /other/ Land Commissioners: Here is my message to you -- kindly consider my claim. Here are the lands of the Mo`i which I have on Lanai. They were given me by Auhea. I am the konohiki of the Mo`i or the lord of the land, so she said to me.

This is my claim. We spoke wilth Auhea concerning my being the Tax Collector -- when she and the Mo`i were through in the Government, then my occupation would end. That was what we spo ....
