Greetings to the Land Commissioners: I have a claim in the `ili named Moanihi in the Ahupua`a of Hawala on the Island of Molokai. The `ili makai is for Timoteo /the konohiki/ and Loikahi is Mauka by it is for Mahoe. A pali is above and a stream below.

I have had this claim from ancient times, when Paia 2 was the konohiki. It was given me by Hoapili, and he is dead. The present konohiki is Timoteo. I have occupied and cultivated this claim until the present. At this time I am exempt /from the po`alima labor/ by having five children. This land is 264 long by 88 wide.

I request you, the Commissioners to Quiet Land Titles, if this claim is found valid, to award it to me. The witness is Kualawa.

Inui, sworn, I know his claim in the `ili of "Moanihi", Halawa. It is dry taro land and kula.

Apana I is bounded:
Mauka, land of Mahoe
Koolau and Makai, land of Konohiki
Kona, the stream.

Apana 2 is bounded all around by the land of Konohiki.

He received these apanas in the time Kaahumanu I was alive has had quiet and undisputed possession.

Kekahuna, sworn, The foregoing testimony by Inui is true; my knowledge of it is the same.
