Greetings to the Land Commissioners: I hereby petition for my claims for house lot and lo`i at Puako. There are five lo`i and six mo`o at Puako. Also at Kapili, are four lo`i for which /I pay/ $350 per year. Those are my claims, under Kaua.

.... tly conveyed to Hubble as above). Nailiili has accepted from F.W. Hutchinson a life estate for the part he now occupies, the land having been originally sold by Kaua on condition that the (Nailiili) should not be disturbed during his life.
(Nailiili and Kaua both state that the land in question belonged wholly to Kaua, and Nailiili lived under him, having no claim to the soil. And Nailiili says he is satisfied to hold the place he occupies during his life and then leave it to the purchaser).
