Greetings to the Land Commissioners: I hereby state my claim for a house lot. It is makai in the ahupua`a of Kahului 1. It is 30 fathoms by 28 fathoms and it was given me absolutely by the one who had the lot in 1848. My land claim is in the same ahupua`a, as follows: a pauku of land mauka of the Cattle Fence, 400 fathoms by 20 fat ....

Maliu, sworn, He has given his lot interest in 1848 to Nalawaia, his younger sibling, (brother or male cousin). He has known about Nalawaia's kihapais just as Kalama had stated here. Maliu does not intend to oppose Nalawaia again.
