To the Land Commissioners, Greetings, I, the one whose name is below, hereby state my claim for land in the `ili at Alewa, an Ahupua`a in Honolulu, Island of Oahu. There are eleven lo`i and one kula. Kaakaukopa is on the east, on the north is the po`alima, on the west is Lolo's lo`i.

.... es to all who are related to the deceased. There is no interest for me whatsoever in that land for which I may demand of the courts anywhere. But Hao is responsible for all loss a nd cost of the land officers to them for this place, just as they have agreed for him, his signature will be on that claim just as the konohiki had agreed to convey to him (land) and the kono-hiki had agreed that I shall be destitute; therefore I am with naught from the begining to this time and forever. And for the truth of this, I pen my signature on this paper in Kapalama and on this day as dated above.
