The Land Commissioners, greetings: I, Makalulu, a subject of Hawaii living in Koloa, in the `ili of Maulili, island of Kauai, hereby state my claim for land. There is one irrigated lo`i and four dry lo`i. The kula adjoins this land area that is my claim, which was received from P. Kanoa. Respectfully,

Kaanaana, sworn, says, I know the land of Claimant. It consists of a house lot, one loi, four dry lois and kula adjoining lying in Maulili, East Koloa.
It is bounded:
Mauka by the ili of Halalu
Puna by kula of Maulili
Makai by sea shore
Hanapepe by ili of Puokahaku.
Claimant received the land from Keawe about 1831, has lived on it ever since. No o ....

To have and to hold the above granted land in Fee Simple, absolute unto the said Makalulu and the heirs and assigns forever of the said Makalulu forever.
In Witness whereof, The Governor of the Territory of Hawaii, has hereto set his hand and caused the Great Seal of the Hawaiian Islands to be hereunto affixed, this 17th day of November, A.D. 1927.
