Greetings to you, Mr. William Richards, The President of the Land Commissioners: I hereby testify before you truly that I am the representative of Kaiole and I will present to you the claim for her lot in Honolulu.
On the northwest is the lot of Kamaka and Puhiula, on the southeast is the Hale pakaukau /restaurant?/ of Matthew Kekuanaoa, makai is the road going to Ewa.
The interest in this place was given her by the Moi, Kamehameha III and it was conveyed absolutely to her. Until the present; no one has objected. Therefore I ask that her claim be awarded.

.... ad to leave while Kaiole remained. I have not known why they had lived there because they had come from Hawaii. When the corpse of Nahienaena was taken to Lahaina Kaiole had gone along,too, while her son remained on this place. I had seen Ualani at this time living there and later Puhiula had quarreled about this place. Kaiole was the person I had seen quarreling with Puhiula. Kaiole sold a piece of her property to Kauka Aupuni in the year 1845, but long ago in the year 1828 1 had seen Keawenuiaumi living there, for she was married to my cousin and Kahinukawa had been living there as stated in her claim.
