Greetings to you, Mr. William Richards, The President of the Land Commissioners: I hereby tell you my claim for my own house lot which I forgot to enter in that claim which i submitted previously.
This lot is just makai of George Pelly's lot in Nuuanu on the southeast of the road going to the Koolau /windward side/.

.... d having no house there. Kanaina had obtained this place in the year 1837 and the land is for him. This is the reason he has enclosed that place and has lived since to this time; no one objecting to him. This is my own land, not for my son."
Namauu, sworn by the Word of god and stated, "I have seen this place just as Kamaihulipu has just related. The boundaries are the same and that land is for the chief, C. Kanaina."
