To the honorable Board of Commissioners, &c., &c.
Gentlemen:
In making application to you for a title to a piece of land owned by me in the town of Honolulu, I beg to enclose you 3 papers, 1, 2, 3, which will explain how I became possessed of the land in question. You will observed that this land has been surveyed by Mr. Metcalf; & I will thank you when ready to enter into my claim, to notify me and subpoena Alexander Adams, James Brousseau & John [Meek?] Jr.
The land now laid claim to has several buildings erected upon it, & I am daily improving it.

No. 1, Honolulu, October 19th, 1845
Know all men by these presents, that I, Richard Ford, having executed a deed, unto John Francis Mitchener in an exchange of estates, the said estate my freehold property situated in Honolulu, granted unto me by the Crown Governor, Boki, then regent. I did truly & lawfully [illegible convey?] unto John Francis Mitchener for & in consideration in a conveyance, aforesaid for a freehold estate, situated at Waititi in lieu thereof, the ratification whereof was witnessed by and ratified: Doctor McCarty and Alexander Adams.
In testimony thereof, I ratify this unto John F. Mitchener as my act and deed to all intents & purposes.

To have and to hold all and singular the said Premises, above bargained and sold as mentioned or intended so to be, to the said William Wond, his Executors, administrators and assigns forever.
And I, the said John Francis Milchiner, for myself, my heirs, executors & administrators, all and singular the said premises, houses and buildings, with the said William Wond, his Executors, administrators and assigns, against me, the said john Francis Milchner, my executors, & administrators, and against all and every other person and persons whomsoever, shall & will warrant, and forever defend by these presents.
In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 16th day of March 1847.

William Wond had brought a land transfer document in Honolulu here from Ioane Mesina and the witnesses will verify the authenticity of that document.
James Bostin (Bastian) sworn by the Word of God and stated, I wrote this document and I have personally seen Mesina (Mitchiner?) and his wife write their names in the document transferring that property to William Wond.
John Meek, sworn by the word of God and stated, I have personally seen these two people write their names on the document signifying that the land had become W. Wond's property and I had written my name on it as an eye witness.
Postponed until more witnesses can be had for approval.
