Greetings to you, William Richards, the President of the Land Commissioners:I, the undersigned, am the one who has an interest in a house lot here in Honolulu. It is just mauka of Pulua's /Brewer/ place on the northwest of J. Dudoit's place.
My interest in my lot was from my makuahine. In the year in which Kahumanu made a circuit of Maui and Hawaii to tell of the righteousness of God, on returning here I made an adobe wall to surround the lot, ha ....

Kano, sworn by the Word of God and reltated, I have seen this place during the time of Poli. I had seen Kauliokamoa living there in the year 1828 and he is living there at the present time. It has been enclosed and there are 6 houses, 4 of which are for the property possessors, 2 for Kauliokamoa himself, 1 of which is broken and he is thinking of building a new house. The boundaries are just as Apii has related to you. That is what I have known.
