Greetings to the Land Commissioners: I hereby tell of our interest in our house lot here in Honolulu. The survey has been completed and the boundaries are described on the diagram which is sent herewith. Our interest is from my wahine --her explanation follows:

After the death of Kekuaokalani we returned from /the island of/ Hawaii and lived at the place where L. Smith is living, with Imiala and Haia ma. This was at the time idle land, and seeing that it was unused, I occupied it. Liholiho was alive at this time.

My makuahine and I made a small house at first. We first made a wood fence. I hired workers/ to have a well dug in this lot. My kane then made the adobe wall which stands at this time. A ....

.... ted, "I have seen this place, it is for Kuapuu. Namohala had given him this interest. I have seen Kapea living there at the time Kamehameha I had died until the present time. This is the young sister of the wife of Namohala.

Kaniku's lot is toward the mountain
Kapehana's lot is Waikiki
Ke-kuamanoha's lot is toward the sea and
Mauna Kea Street is on the Ewa side.

No one else is there. It has been enclosed with one house on the inside. This is the wife's lot and there is no other interest."
