Greetings to the Land Commissioners: I hereby petition for the right to my house lot in Honolulu, whose boundaries are given herein.
This right was established just after the death of Kamehameha I. We sailed with Liholiho ma from Maui and my kaikunane florist lived at this place. His name was Hale. I heard that Kalaimoku consented that this place become Hale's. It was unused at the time.
At the time that Kaloka /George/ the son of Marin, sailed to Uvea, Hale sailed with him and died at Uvea. /Wallis Island/.
When he sailed I was living at this place, also his keikiwahine.
I lived at this place from this time until now. A certain part of Hale's kuleana was taken by someone else. But I petition you for the place which remains at this time. It has been fenced completely by me, and I live here without objections. But I have heard of Kalanikahua - his surveyor has entered Kamekele's lot which is inside my lot. This surveying is not right - ....

.... ed the house and placed Kahinu there before he had gone with Poki to foreign lands. He had directed that lot to Kahinu and he had built the fence which is the same one to this time.
Kinopu and Bila's lots are mauka
Maunakea Street is on the Ewa side
Ka-mahele's lot makai and
Kanahakui's lot is on the Waikiki side.
I have never known any other interest there to this time. Three houses are there, one for a young sister, the other for a brother-in-law and one for her. They are under Kahinu.
Kalauomano, sworn by the Word of God and stated, I have seen this place during the lifetime of Kaahumanu. Kahinu was living there at the time, probably that was in the year 1828,and I have known her since that time to the present time. It has a fence and three houses, one for the young sister, the other for the brother-in-law and one is for herself. I had heard only it had been for Hale Pepeiaopuu. I have not heard that anyone else has an interest there except only Kahinu. The boundaries are the same as has been stated by Kaukaliu.
