No. 543, Kapuaa, Honolulu, March 2, 1847
Honorable Wm. Richards, President of the other four commissioners appointed by the Moi to investigate the claims for land in the Hawaiian Islands:
In accordance with the new law concerning claims for land which was enacted in 1845, taking effect this past year, therefore, I tell you, the people who establish true rights: I, the undersigned, the owner of a lot in the city of Honolulu, explain that I have a right from my makuakane, Abraham Naaoa.
It is on the west corner of the lot of Lola Konia, being the place called Kalanikahua; there is my place of which I tell you, at the old church built by Smith, on the side, however, of the road which goes straight to the exit of that old church. That was the place of my makuakane, Naaoa, being the place where the firewood for sale was kept. I am the one who has the right for which I petition and the true witnesses who ....

Moo's property on the Ewa side and the street is on the front of Kamika's school house.
This place has been fenced, although I have not known who had done it. There was one house in there and I have not known anyone to have objected. He has lived from Poki's time to the present.

Kapela, sworn by the Word of God and stated, "I had seen this place at the time of Poki. It is in Honolulu here and had been for Naaoa. Kawahaohi had received it from Naaoa."
