Greetings to the Land Commissioners: I, Hikiau, hereby petition again for the right to my house lot at Honolulu, Island of Oahu. In the time of Kamehameha I. Kuihelani and Kahanaumaikai were the ali`i of Oahu. At this time my makuas were living at this place. Keaka /Jack/ the haole was living here. My makuas lived here and reared the kaikamahine of said Keaka and afterwards some malihinis lived in this lot. The owner of the lot did not live here, only the retainers.
