His land came from me in 1839 and he had lived there peacefully until he died in 1849. He bequested it unto his children, Umi, Mahoe 3, Beke and they have continued to cultivate it until this year of 1854. In the month of January it was received by Lota Maui and a haole through an auction by Mr. Gower.
