Greetings to the Land Commissioners: I have a claim in the `ili of Kaili in the Ahupua`a of Halawa on the Island of Molokai. The mo`o on the makai side is for Lono and the mauka mo`o is for Elemakule, a pali is above and a muliwai is below.
I occupied this claim at the time of Lilimaleka, and since then I have cultivated this mo`o. It is 99 fathoms long by 7 fathoms wide.
I request you, if this claim is found valid, to award it to me. This ....
