To the Land Commissioners of the Independent Mo`i of the Hawaiian Kingdom: I hereby tell of my little houselot at Wailuku, on the northeast of the lot of Z. Kaauwai. I got it from Puupahoehoe, whose lot it was from ancient times. This is my kuleana for which I petition you.

John Richardson, sworn, It is on the south of the church property and on the northeast of Z. Kaauwai's place. I asked Puupahoehoe, "Are you not filing a claim for your interest in that property?" Pepee answered me thus, "Is it for me to wall our [yours and my] place?" Then I agreed that the place was for him, while another p ....

No. 4. One lo`i is at Halaula 3, bounded:
Mauka by Z. Kahaolepio
and on the other sides by Paole.
No. 5. Six lo`i are at Halaula 2, bounded:
Mauka by Pao
Waihee, the same
Makai by Nailiili
Maalaea by Pao.
Parcels 3 and 4 were from me in 1838. Parcel 5 was from his makuas. There is no opposition.
