To the Land Commissioners: I hereby state to you my claim for my `ili, named Kapii, in the Ahupua`a of Manawai on the Island of Molokai. It is bounded by /not given/; the length of the lo`is is 36 fathoms and the width is 27 fathoms in my mo`o. Most of it is kula which I cultivate and I have a claim to it.
Here is the claim for my house lot, a fathom in length by a fathom in width /sic/. I have occupied this land and house lot for many years. The people who live in these Ahupua`as know of my occupancy of this place. Aloha to you all. I am, respectfully,

Land from his parents at the time of Kamehameha I and Hapuku [? same as Kahiapaiolo?] has lived peacefully to the present.
Kuaana, sworn, both witnesses have known in the same way.
