To the Land Commissioners of the Hawaiian Islands, greetings: I hereby state my claim for land at Kuhuaiki in Lahaina. It is bounded on the north by the land of Mamaki and of Ali, on the east the lands of Kipa and Kekauonohi, and of Maunahina, on the south by the land of Kipa, on the west by the lot of Piimaia [Piimaiawaa?] and the lots of Pae and of Akoni.
Within this place are five lo`i with water, and one dry lo`i. There is also a cultivated mo`o within this place and a houselot, which is the place where we live.

.... seen this land. See No. 8849, it is adjoining with the house lot. This had been from Naea in 1838, probably and the boundaries are:
Mauka, Olowalu by Kipa's land
Makai by Kimo's land
Kaanapali by Puuki's land.
No one has objected. See page 58.

Work has been done on this claim on Oahu, by Pikao. William Richards and Z. Kaauwai. Kaiui is dead he has no interest. "Pikao has the claim" says Z. Kaauwai.
