To the Land Commissioners: I have a claim, at Puunui, under Nahalelauhala. One taro mo'o in Honolulu, Keahia, is under Paki and Konia, Oahu. Kahalekauila, at Kaneohe, Koolau, is occupied under Alapai, Oahu. I have one lo'i at Kalawahine, which I occupy under Kekauonohi.

.... that patch and in the pasture adjoining the stream. It was a land not suitable for a loi and he worked with it and combined it with an old loi in 1841. In order that this low land may be converted into a loi, I gave some money to the tax assessor and I did work here for a very long time, yet did not complete the loi, then upon my request of Tute, hired help was obtained from the tax assessor and the loi was completed.

Kawau, sworn, after the time of Kaomi I had seen Tute farming in this loi and he did this until Kahalaimoku had landed in Nuu of Kaupo, Maui, then I had to go there. I was the caretaker luna of "Kalawahine" land under Kahekili. I do not know who had given him his land, I had only seen both he and Kahekili farming on it. I think this is Tute's place.
