To the Honorable Land Commissioners, Greetings: I, Kanihooi, am a native-born oldtimer of Waipilopilo, Hauula. The first /claim/ is my land at Kumaka, Hauula, with one lo`i bounded on the east by a fence and the house, Kaauhauaumaikai, on the south and west is Keloha, on the north is the land of Kaunele. I got this land from Kamoliilii and have had it for sixteen years. The second claim is the shore land of Okole ....

.... claimed by Kanehooi in Kaipapau. There is no part whatever of the said land cultivated at present by Claimant. They were small temporary patches.
Hoopalahe (the son of clt.), says there is no part of the land claimed by Kanehooi in Kaipapau cultivated at present, nor has it been for some time on account of the inroads of the cattle.
(The kalo land claimed by Kanehooi was proved in evidence given yesterday to belong to Kealoha 8338.)
