I, Kapapa, a claimant, hereby state to you, the Land Commissioners, that I have a house lot. It is in Lahaina, makai of D. Malo's lot. I received it from the Mo`i, and there is also a lo`i. Those are my claims.

Kaleleiki, sworn, I know the lands of the claimant. It is in Puako, Lahaina. It is one house lot.

The claimant received this house lot from Kekauonohi or His Majesty in 1847 and his title has never been disputed.

It is bounded:
Mauka by Judge Parsons or D. Malo's lot
Olowalu by Waineeiki
Makai by the Government road leading to Olowalu
Kaanapali by my land.

.... rmerly lived on it, he was school teacher in Lahaina, he left it in the year 1835, and went to live at Wailuku, and has never been in the place since. After Naleipuleho left the place it was unoccupied till the year 1841 when Paku (a school teacher) took possession of it and lived there till the year 1843, when he left it and remained unoccupied till claimant took possession of it and lived on the place up to the present time.

The following is a copy of a document offered by claimant as evidence of his being the rightful owner of the place. (MARKED A)

By this document I hereby give a certain house lot parcel at Puako makai of David's Lot, to Kapapa on which to live as kanaka for the king because the place is for both the king
and me.
